Erlich co-authored with Norman Solomon the best-selling “Target Iraq: What the News Media Didn’t Tell You” (Context Books, 2003). He wrote “The Iran Agenda: The Real Story of US Policy and the Middle East Crisis” (Polipoint Press 2007). “Dateline Havana: The Real Story of US Policy and the Future of Cuba,” was published in January 2009. “Conversations with Terrorists: Middle East Leaders on Politics, Violence, and Empire” came out in September 2010 (Politpoint Press).Reese's newest book, forwarded by Noam Chomsky, "Inside Syria: The Backstory of Their Civil War and What the World Can Expect", was published in 2014.
Erlich Reese's work has received many awards including: The Peabody Award (2006), the Society of Professional Journalists (Nor Cal) (2012) for best “radio explanatory journalism”, and the Alliance for Women in Communication Clarion Award (2004) In addition, in 2003 his article about the U.S. use of depleted uranium ammunition was voted the eighth most censored story in America by Project Censored at Sonoma State University and in 2002 his radio documentary, “The Russia Project,” received the depth reporting prize for broadcast journalism awarded by the Northern California Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
