Dr. Laura Sorry for Airing N-Word Barrage

Dr. Laura Schlessinger is many things, but an astute commentator on racial politics isn’t one of them. The long-running schlock jock removed her foot from her mouth Wednesday to issue an apology for “attempting to make a philosophical point” by repeatedly firing off the “N-word” on her show the day before. Perhaps more shocking than Dr. Laura’s inflammatory outburst is the fact that she’s still on the air.  —KA
