Colbert Has a Better Idea for Amazon Than Delivery Drones
Posted on Dec 3, 2013
Amazon’s latest “Prime Air” plan to drop your orders on your doorstep in half an hour leaves a lot to be desired. Although, as Stephen Colbert points out, the flying delivery devices are “guaranteed to be safe thanks to all the drone testing we’ve done overseas,” 30 whole minutes is too long to wait for your purchase. Especially if anxiously anticipating whatever knickknack you’ve bought will interfere with your enjoyment of “Monday Night Football.”
And of course there’s the tiny problem of how drones will get around telephone poles, trees, etc. In any case, the late-night-show host has come up with a brilliant way for people to get products instantly—all he needs is Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos’ money. Though the concept for Colbert’s ingenious Spending Habit Opportunity Places may already sound vaguely familiar, the pundit’s positive it will revolutionize shopping.
