Bill O’Reilly says of the very public option that makes his Foxy friends’ heads explode: “I want that. ... [I]f the government can cobble together a cheaper insurance policy that gives the same benefits, I see that as a plus for the folks.” Quick, look out your window to see the flying pigs.
Let’s be cynical for a moment. Bill O’Reilly loves to claim that he is an independent. He occasionally marches to the beat of a different drummer just to prove it. Now that the public option is dead—at least in Bill’s estimation—he may have run the numbers and decided to make a point of his independence. Or maybe he really loves the idea. Who knows what bounces around in that giant head of his? —PS
