
It’s clear from this monologue by Rep. Elijah Cummings that, when he wonders aloud if Neel Kashkari, interim assistant secretary of the Treasury for financial stability, is a “chump” for enabling companies like AIG to hand out huge executive bonuses while seeking federal bailout money, Cummings already knows the answer. Cummings posed the question during Friday’s meeting of the House Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee about the Treasury’s handling of the bailout.
