Clinton enthusiast James Carville tells CNN that Barack Obama should select Al Gore as his vice president candidate and energy czar in order to “send a signal to the world ... that America’s gettin’ serious about this horrendous problem that we face.”
When reminded by Wolf Blitzer that Gore has shied away from reprising his role as vice president, Carville says he’s not talking about your average veep, but a force empowered by the president to really do something about our dependence on foreign oil.
It would certainly be interesting to see a vice president as powerful as the current incarnation apply his energies more positively.
Watch it here.
