
Sometimes the best way to tell what other nations think of the U.S. is to see how Americans are depicted in entertainment products. Judging by this translated excerpt from the Iranian television drama “Guantanamo” (granted, subject matter must also weigh heavily in the equation), our international PR leaves a lot to be desired. (Hint: Does the American male interrogator figure remind you of another historical stock figure in film and TV?)
