What matters in this region is perception. This war especially between Israel and Hezbollah was a war of perception more than anything else. The reality is not important in this region. It’s what the image is.
Jon Stewart: It’s not important in our [country], either.
Aslan: Yeah, it doesn’t really matter. This is basically a marketing campaign. The entire war on terror is at its core a marketing campaign. Now, how the United States is losing a marketing campaign to people who live in caves…
