One year after the death of Internet visionary Aaron Swartz, Brian Knappenberger, a director of films about hacktivism, is ready to release a documentary that follows a child programmer’s maturation into one of the most important and effective political minds of his generation.

Swartz was Truthdigger of the Week the day his suicide under pressure from an indictment for accessing networks operated by MIT made headlines around the world. See the Kickstarter trailer for Knappenberger’s film, which premiers at the Sundance film festival this month, below, as well as a clip from the work.
