I googled “smart phones made in US” and found out there are none. All smart phones contain at least some parts which are made in China under conditions described in the NY Times article on Apple’s labor practices. Furthermore, all notebook computers, tablets, and smart phones contain minerals which are mined by slave labor in third world countries. If we don’t care enough to do something about this, we are no better than the 1% we are blaming for our problems.
