Stewart Rips Fox News for ‘Blaming’ Obama Win on Single Women

If you listen to Fox News, part of the reason that President Obama won is because he carried the single female vote. Married women, on the other hand, tended to favor Mitt Romney.

Naturally, Fox News has a succinct explanation for this disparity (and this is a paraphrase here): Married women have more responsibility and are more concerned about the future of this country than single women, who care only about abortion and free birth control. Or, as Jon Stewart explained the cable news channel’s message on “The Daily Show” on Wednesday night: Married women are “not just some selfish c****.”

Harsh, Fox News, very harsh.

Stewart then turned it over to the show’s Senior Women’s Issue Correspondent Kristen Schaal, who recently got married, to explain the difference between single and married female voters.

“You seem like the same person,” Stewart said.

“How dare you, Jon. As soon as a groom—my groom—carried me across the threshold, I felt something new exploding inside me,” she said. “It was concern for America’s future. But single women vote with their vaginas, Jon. And they only care about one issue: the sucking and the f******.”

“Isn’t that two issues?” Stewart asked.

“Not if you’re doing it right,” Schaal responded.

Schaal then explains what Republicans can do to appeal to single women, a growing demographic in this country.
