“Possessing the Ukraine without massive force is a fool’s errand,” exclaims the pundit. “There are too many borders, it just passes back between East and West.” With the help of Gideon Rose, the editor of Foreign Affairs magazine, Stephen Colbert untangles the complexities of recent events in Ukraine and explains why, since Obama is clearly in competition with Putin in a warped Cold War rehash, the U.S. president didn’t declare “victory” over Russia after Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych was impeached to gain face after the Russians won more Olympic medals in Sochi.
