Wow, I didn’t know that Jeff Dunham’s character, Walter, is the
vice president of the u. s., I mean there he is on the video just
over o’s right shoulder.

While Obama trotted out his steamer trunk full of lies and Republican inspired platitudes of USA Exceptionalism, I read about the passing of Howard Zinn.  At least Mr. Zinn won’t have to be here to experience the utter collapse of the United States.

This was one of the most insipid speeches I’ve heard. Unfortunately, to me, it is a reflection of his actions thus far, and judging by this speech I’m not sure that we can expect anything but the same going forward.

Give me some forward-looking, creative ideas, and some humanistic, courageous behavior that will help save the world for my grandchildren, or give me a one-term president and a Democratic majority who wasted their opportunity and caved to the illusions of “American exceptionalism”!

THE SORRY STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS!
AND THE SORRY INDIVIDUALS, THAT CREATED IT!
They worked “DILIGENTLY” (8) YRS to prevent BILL CLINTON from Rescuing US from (12) YRS of REAGONOMICS
They say They WASTED 21 million dollars!
On MONICA LEWINSKY and WHITEWATER!
BUT WITH all OF THEIR SALARIES, Republican Reps, Congress and Senate.
For (8) Whole YRS,
That’s all they did.
ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK, Bill Clinton!
So including the INCREDIBLE “HYPOCRITAL” IMPEACHMENT!
THEY WASTED “BILLIONS” OF TAXPAYERS MONEY.
ON PURE HYPOCRISY!  FOR 8 YRS.
Clinton was able to save us anyway!
But Some of us understand, we will not necessarially,
always have the good fortune to be able to save ourselves, From our ESTREMIST, SELF!

Well, I think there can be little doubt that the President is abandoning progressives. As David Brooks said on the “News Hour”, this was a very moderate speech and contained many things you’d expect to hear from Republicans- capital gains tax for example. The strongest language in the speech was the threat to veto spending.
