Now wrestling, that’s gay. See how stupid that sounds?

I’m struggling to understand this woeful attempt at humour. I thought it was going to be some well written article on the popularity of football (or soccer as some people call it)) but it’s just an announcement that soccer is gay?

This is the first time I’ve had to check if I’m on the Truthdig’s website or not. It’s not borderline homophobia. It’s blatant.

And if soccer is gay, then I’m a flaming queen for loving it.

And laughing at the morons who live around me who constantly make soccer jokes.

Soccer, or football as it’s known in the “real world”, is NOT gay. The “officials” that
officiate the matches are gay but not the game itself. Disallow a fair goal? Why,
that’s just despicably gay.

I don’t quite get it…

It must be penis envy because soccer is a player’s game who don’t need to take a break every two minutes to be reminded what to do and which direction to aim.

The gay people at the Onion just must be having a hard on watching real men with skills running in shorts around the pitch.

Soccer is a game for gentleman played by overpaid thugs.

Was this supposed to be funny? maybe some think so.

If any sport is gay it would have to be pro football
with thier tights and contact.
