In titling this clip featuring Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, The Associated Press noted that the “Bin Laden-Fed Unity May Be Short-Lived” in Congress. You think?

McConnell took the opportunity to register his support for a continuation of the Patriot Act, which he believes has been working for us Americans over the last decade. You think?  —KA

New and Improved Comments

We are launching a major overhaul of our comments section.

In addition to more robust spam filtering and moderation, new features include the ability to rate other comments, sort how they are displayed and respond directly via e-mail or in a thread.

Unfortunately, commenters will lose their existing Truthdig identities. It's a pain, we know, but on the plus side you will now be able to log in with a plethora of options, including Google, Twitter, Facebook and Disqus accounts.

Before launching this system we spent months in discussion with our top commenters. We listened to the feedback and we hope you like what we've come up with.

Please direct any problems or concerns to us via our contact page.

O.K.
Now, provide us with the opinions of two “senators” who are patriotic
Americans, who are not on the dole. Two senators who understand that
the U.S. Presidency is occupied by a foreign-born being, using a
fraudulent name/identity created by the C.I.A.

A being who was created by the C.I.A., the valid records of whose
mother suggest that he was born out of wedlock under furtive
conditions, to a 14-yr. old girl who had been statutorily raped at the
age of 13.  Which is why his loving, old Grandma said he was born in
Kenya, and who hinted that she had assisted in his birth. It is sad
that she disappeared after one publicized interview. He/they
certainly don´t want a loving old Grandma to spill the beans. Any
being created and owned by the C.I.A. is protected from “legal
discovery,” until he (it) is maneuvered into a position from which
“it” can issue “executive directives” and further preclude “legal
discovery.”

The persons demanding a genuine birth certificate? How presumptuous!
It is only logical, that When no certificate of birth exists, the only
one(s) that can be produced are the products of the same organization
that created the “identity” of the person in subject. The historical
deportment of which “being-person” has well-earned the nick-name of
“Mr. Deceit”. He fits right in with the rest of the GHWBushSr entourage.

Where do they get these guys? What they really means to say is: “We hope our terms will be extended for an indefinite period of time because that’s working well for us.  Thanks a lot!”

Unspoken postscript:  “We will extend the Patriot Act because it enables us to keep the American people cowed enough not to cause any trouble to the status quo. Any other questions?  We thought not. See you at the movies.”
