The world’s dispossessed have always made sense of their troubles and eased their sorrows through music. The Internet lets them do it across borders and cultures.

The performance below, titled “Don’t Want Your Life,” by “Z the People” and “El Far3i,” filmed by photographer Laith Majali in Amman, Jordan, is bursting with the elegant fury and refusal to suffer bullshit that fueled international protests from Tahrir Square to Zuccotti Park in 2011.
