Park 51 Imam: ‘We Are Exploring All Options’ for Islamic CenterPosted on Sep 13, 2010
Now that the the debate over the planned Park 51 Islamic center near Manhattan’s Ground Zero has gone national, what does Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf have to say about the future of the project? Well, Abdul Rauf, who has remained a calm voice of reason about not just Park 51 but also about the bigger picture—the role of Islam in contemporary American culture—told the Council on Foreign Relations in New York on Monday that he and other project promoters “are exploring all options” at this point. “We need to create a platform where the voice of moderate Muslims will be amplified,” he said. —KA Associated Press via YouTube: Advertisement Previous item: 'Left, Right & Center': Obama Flops?; Saving the Middle Class Next item: Axelrod on 'Politically Toxic' Health Care Reform New and Improved CommentsWe are launching a major overhaul of our comments section. HEY CHRIS…THERE IS a church built very close to the dome of the rock…please do some research before you make statements. BTW zionists were trying to destruct the church some years back…wanted it to be a part of their settlement.
BTW why should American Muslims be accountable for what other Muslims do in other countries?
Why aren’t American Christians and American Jews etc. held accountable for what Christians and Jews do in other countriess???

Chris H.:
Why are you bringing in what other countries and/or religions do elsewhere? We live HERE, in the U.S., where we have freedom of speech, religion, etc. Should we decide what we do here based on what others do elsewhere? Since when is THAT an acceptable wya to determine what is right?
Peter:
Once again, your fear, ignorance and intolerance is sad to see. You regurgitate the same tired, incorrect claims that so many make without knowing what they are talking about, and with little or no support.
I hope that one day you will be able to conquer your fear and intolerance, and live peaceably with your neighbors.
Peace.

Feisal is a bullshit artist that has convinced many tax payer money paid for his recent trip around Arab countries shopping for more money for the Mosque- taxpayers once more come through for Muslims. Feisal is a snake, The Mosque is sponsored by the same folks who sponsor CIA-counter terrorism. Manhattan Mosque is there to attract Radical Muslims to be watched by Homeland Security. quite the Plan, self inflicted wound 9-11 and dress the wound with the preceived enemy, brain wash time. Follow the money and see the truth, you got to dig for the truth. As for moderate Muslims. 1900 Mosques in the USA, 2.35 million Muslims live now in USA, and we have, NOT YET HEARD FROM MODERATE MUSLIMS. HA HA there are no Moderate Muslims. Moderation to Muslims, means Half Assed, not going all the way for Allah, sort of lacxk of commitment. Moderation when concerning Religion, does not exist in Islam, What? your only going half way, Muslims have no tolerance you convert or PAY your Fee. Koran has no tolerance convert die or pay. no other option. to leave you alone is to disobey the Koran and Allah. So, therefore waitng for Muslim Moderation is like waiting for Jesus the Rabbi on the Cross. No truth here!

In the sprit of freedom, and of religion. I they really want to build the Isamic Center next to ground zero. Them why not let the Christian religion build a church or Temple at the dome of the rock or next to any Muslum Holy site. put the shoe one the other foot. If this is not uncomfortable for their faith or the Country that is in in then they are beter that me. Build your center but just a few blocks away no inconvience!! Or let us built our site next to yours quid pro quo!! If you believe what you say and is written then prove it!
