Obama Plays Defense With First Commercial

The Obama campaign will begin airing its first commercial Thursday, and the first words on screen are “Secretive oil billionaires attacking President Obama.” The ad responds to charges leveled by Americans for Prosperity, a front group for the conservative Koch brothers.

According to Politico, the ad will air in Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin.

With the help of mixed messages and twisted interpretations of complicated financial wheelings and dealings, we should all get enough mixed-up notions of what is really going on with these candidates to get out and vote and then go home and shut up.
