Noam Chomsky on 9/11, Jobs and Palestinian StatehoodPosted on Sep 13, 2011
It’s a healthy serving of Chomsky three ways, as the celebrated intellectual stops by “Democracy Now!” to digest three of the biggest issues in the news. Looking Back on 9/11 a Decade Later On the U.S. Economic Crisis: Joblessness, Excessive Military Spending and Health Care U.S. to Veto Palestinian Statehood Bid Despite ‘Overwhelming International Consensus’ Advertisement Previous item: Cornel West Recalls the Attica Prison Rebellion Next item: Afghanistan and the Big Lie New and Improved CommentsWe are launching a major overhaul of our comments section. baloney - not the definitive counter narrative - a
tepid sop to left-lib-progs too mesmerized with
their left-lib icons to dig any deeper - this is the
definitive counter narrative:
9/11 Synthetic Terror - Made in USA
Author bio: Webster Griffin Tarpley
5th edition - now with The 46 Drills of 9/11!
Webster Tarpley answers the “unanswered questions
of 9/11” and the non-sequiturs of the wild-eyed
official conspiracy theory, by showing how this kind
of inside job actually works - by flipping the “terror
drills” live. Tarpley also puts 9/11 in its real context
of great power conflict and the ruling oligarchy.

I heard this commentary by Chomsky on Democracy Now last night and I remember wishing that it would be posted here at truthdig, now here it is. The transcript is available at democracynow.org.
In my opinion Chomsky is head and shoulders above all other social commentators. His commentary is free of demagoguery, plain spoken, insightful, and courageously honest.
