Democracy Now!

Kenneth Chamberlain Jr. is pressing for criminal charges in the death of his father.

In mid-November 2011, Kenneth Chamberlain Sr., a 68-year-old black veteran, was shot to death after police entered his apartment in White Plains, N.Y., while responding to a false alarm from his medical pendant.

Five months after the killing, a full investigation into the incident remains to be done and the White Plains Police Department has not released the name of the officer who killed Chamberlain. Democratic New York state Sen. Suzi Oppenheimer has asked the Westchester County district attorney to conduct an investigation and present the findings to a grand jury.

“Democracy Now!” spoke about the incident with Chamberlain’s son and two attorneys representing the family. —ARK

“Shouldn’t Mr. Chamblain have just opened the door and spoke with th police? “

Ed, the answer to your question is NO!

You see in this “Republic” Chamberlain was not obligated to allow the Police in his home without a warrant. Like Vampires, the Police must be invited in.

Don’t the police have to investigate any emergncy call they receive? Don’t he have to find out the source of the call and investigate that everything is okay? I am not saying what the plice did was right, just curious as to the regeulations the have to follow. Shouldn’t Mr. Chamblain have just opened the door and spoke with th police?

I had the chance to watch this episode of Democracy Now and listen to the Kenneth Chamberlain Jr., the Lawyers and Amy Goodman “milk” the fact that Kenneth Chamberlain Sr. was a Vietnam Vet for all it was worth! This is the kind of “bull Shit” I would expect from FOX News or the Right in general; swing his military “service” around like an unkempt penis (Carlin’s view on War);

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaS2bRGS86c

What “service” did this man provide to the people of “these United States” by participating in the “murder” of “millions” of Vietnamese men, women and children? Why is he not a Canadian???

If Chamberlain had been just another “regular” citizen, would what they did to him be any less of an injustice? Leave this “cult of the military” crap to the “right”; any citizen who is treated this way (outright murdered by the Police) should induce the “outrage” of his/her fellow citizens without their “corporate” military service being a factor.

My Heart goes out to the family of this vet. This hits home with me because of our similarities, grumpy unafraid, vets, who don’t like to be pushed around by anybody.Last year where I live, Kelowna B.C.,an old vet in his 70s was double parked outside a walk-in clinic waiting for his wife to cops came up and told him to move he said in a couple of minutes explaining his wife was inside . They said NOW. he said bugger off. The cop punched him in the face. then tasered him and dragged him out of his car through the window. then kicked him as he lay writhing on the ground.all this was noted by witnesses as far as I know neither of these cops were disciplined. That seems to be the rule in Canada and the U.S. now that the police forces have been militarized.

If you don’t have the courage to go there without a gun, you shouldn’t be allowed to go there with a gun.

For those of you who can’t figure that out, try this.

If the only tool you have is a hammer,
every problem looks like a nail.
