No, it’s not shaped like a boot, but a new Italian-themed McDonald’s sandwich with the straightforward moniker “McItaly” is causing a stir in Italy, where even the nation’s agriculture minister has weighed in on the controversy. What’s the big deal? Always somebody in Eur gets pissed at something tastelessly American. So if it’s SO BAD, then most Italians will stay away and they’ll lose $$$ and close it down.
But what they are REALLY pissed about is that so many Italians LOVE it and flock to it and buy it!
It’s one of those times where economics and the market really DO tell you what people want.
Remember: More people want Rock’n'Roll than grand opera—even in Italy!

The “McItaly” is a fast junk food product that

to promote it which incorporated using a political
whore to endorse it is standard operating procedure.
At least a chef wasn’t given a Nobel Prize for food
innovation a week before the campaign so he could be
an impressive shill.
However, the real story is how McDonalds is using
cheap geneticallly modified rapeseed oil,aka canola oil for its fries
instead of Italy’s world famous olive oil.
