Ralph Nader famously argues against choosing between the lesser of two evils, but did you know that between the current president and the last, he might consider the lesser evil to be George W. Bush?

Asked by Politico how Obama rated as a president, Nader responded, “Well he’s below average, because he raised expectation levels. I mean, what expectation levels did George W. Bush raise?”

Later prompted with a direct comparison of the two presidents, Nader came to this conclusion: “On military and foreign policy, [Obama is] worse in the sense that he’s more aggressive, more illegal, worldwide. ...”

Beyond foreign policy, Nader criticized the president for not doing more to help elect other Democrats to take back the Congress, which is an odd sentiment coming from a frequent advocate of alternative parties.

On national security and foreign policy, Obama has a lot to answer for, but many of the criticisms are for policies begun under Bush. And of course Bush was responsible for that whole invade and occupy Iraq for made up reasons thing.
