Moving Forward, Obama Says Medicare, Taxes Still Open for DiscussionPosted on Aug 2, 2011
President Obama spoke to the nation just after the Senate passed a bill to raise the debt ceiling and shortly before he signed it into law. He began the speech thanking the American people for putting pressure on elected officials to “put politics aside and work together for the good of the country,” then went on to say that issues raised during the debt ceiling debate are still open for discussion in the future. “And since you can’t close the deficit with just spending cuts, we’ll need a balanced approach where everything is on the table. Yes, that means making some adjustments to protect health care programs like Medicare so they’re there for future generations. It also means reforming our tax code so that the wealthiest Americans and biggest corporations pay their fair share. And it means getting rid of taxpayer subsidies to oil and gas companies, and tax loopholes that help billionaires pay a lower tax rate than teachers and nurses.” Watch the full speech below. Boy is this the kiss of fucking death! Anytime Obama Carter says we should hold the corporate and the wealthy’s feet to the fire, you know he’s about to bend us over again.
Its like a coach getting a vote of confidence from the GM and owner. You just know his head is on the chopping block.

Obama should not even be including cuts to the social programs when it is not the social programs that are the problem. The problem has been the terrifically reckless and irresponsible wasting of money on the illegal wars that Bush started and Obama, contrary to his campaign promises, continued unabated….even intensified the wasting of dollars. After a decade of Bush and Obama cuts to taxes for the wealthy…we are supposed to cut the social programs? We should be holding the line on social programs and increasing the taxes for the rich who are largely responsible for our financial mess to begin with.

The Republicans and the fake Democrats…including Obama…use the threat of “not being able to pay their bills or make good on their debt” to everyone else but their own people who have paid into the system all their working lives…and now the bastards want to renege on the promise…the responsibility? It is a scam on the Middle Class and the poor. Obama wants to throw Granny under the bus so that the banksters and Wall Streetsters can starve and mock us.

Incredibly lame and hollow. The list of things he “wants” after he pretty much gave away the farm. Our government is not functional.

I use obscenity to describe the weakling Obama- a guy who runs from every
Report thiscrucible thrown in his path. But he does indeed have an overarching principle:
“No principle should be inflexible”. I want him to lose in 2012 and retire to
Hawaii-the promised land for his type- or actually suffer having the “worst job
ever given to a black man” (The Onion headline awhile back) for four more years.
Watch out for more sleeper cell candidates like Ron Paul. Naming his son after
Ayn Rand? Go ahead delude yourself into thinking he is “different”.

For being such a brilliant man - he sure doesn’t learn his lessons in an
Report thisexpedient manner. My president has given in to the hostage takers 3 times
now. One time ought to have taught him the lesson… you don’t give in to
terrorists. You don’t give in to extortion. We have nothing left to bargain with
- it’s all been given away and the losers are those of us who worked our butts
off for this hope and change concept. Medicare - which many of us were
hoping would be the path our country would follow in enacting health care for
all is now doomed. Yes, I said doomed. Medicare won’t get cut - the Doctor’s
simply will not get paid enough to run medical practices. It’s simple - the same
strategy they’re using to close down other government agencies - starve the
beast. There is not one but two ways that doctors and hospitals will get their
reimbursements slashed - with this miraculous new group of 12. They have
the opportunity to kill Medicare forever. Doctors in office based practices
cannot meet their bills now. Have you noticed they get $30 to $50f for office
visits. With this they pay their rent, nurses, billers, malpractice insurance and
have zero left for themselves. What doctors can afford to take any further reduction in
their reimbursement? The answer is the ones just out of that bogus off-shore medical school.

Listen to the speech from “Bush Lite?” I think not, it’s a sellout from a poseur who campaigned on issues to get elected and then like Lucy, yanked the ball out from under the American people. This man and his party gives everything away in the name of “capitulation” and the GOPers must be laughing in their Gulfstream jets all the way to Atlantis. So sad.

Moving forward a good survival tactic in the future will be Rat
Hunting in America’s burned out urban areas. A .22 rifle
loaded with birdshot while hunting from a carefully concealed
ground blind over a baited site will produce one fine supper!
After our planted Republican President finishes the working
class off a new day will dawn for America. The uber rich will
have flown away to their villas on the “Good” continent with
their paid lackies and fellow cronies, the politicians in tow.
The American workers will be left to fend for themselves until

Hear Obama’s full speech. No thanks, I don’t think I could stand listening to one
Report thismore word from this loser. Actually that’s not correct, those who voted for him are
the losers. He is like having four more years of Bush.
