Keith Olbermann didn’t mix it up too much for the new version of his “Countdown With Keith Olbermann” show for Current TV; as the Los Angeles Times pointed out Tuesday, his bow on Current on Monday night featured some familiar segments and at least one familiar face. Fittingly, that was filmmaker Michael Moore, who joined Olbermann for this discussion about Obama’s Libyan strategy and his relationship with Congress.  —KA

We are launching a major overhaul of our comments section.

In addition to more robust spam filtering and moderation, new features include the ability to rate other comments, sort how they are displayed and respond directly via e-mail or in a thread.

Unfortunately, commenters will lose their existing Truthdig identities. It's a pain, we know, but on the plus side you will now be able to log in with a plethora of options, including Google, Twitter, Facebook and Disqus accounts.

Before launching this system we spent months in discussion with our top commenters. We listened to the feedback and we hope you like what we've come up with.

I am sick to death of michael moore defending Obama no matter how Obama
shows himself to be a war monger, a corporate lackey and basically all style and
no substance.  I’m really disappointed in Moore.

Why are we in Libya? It’s pretty much what you’d expect. Must reading (especially for Rendit)...

Why Regime Change in Libya?

He’s an ex-altar boy and he’s looking for another Messiah to believe in.  Just to get that old righteous feeling back.  Without the pedophiles, natch.

Rendit…

Moore is exactly right about the reasons for our invasion of Libya.

And guess what? You could look these things up before showing what an ignoramus you are but then we’d have to find our comedy elsewhere.

Has Michael Moore either returned to obesity or did he never leave it?  Because his double chin is becoming a triple.
I’m guessing he either lacks self-discipline or wants to look more working/lower middle class.

D.R.Zing: You didn’t watch Easy Rider now did you ? The Mime Troupe did that version in the movie in the late 60’s using the word “balls”.

Myself, I think Olbermann should sing the song below and dedicate it to Comcast, except he should perhaps change the word ears to balls. Just ‘cause.

Do Your Ears Hang Low?
Do They Wobble to and Fro?
Can You Tie Them in a Knot?
Can You Tie Them in a Bow?
Can You Throw Them Over Your Shoulder Like a
Continental Soldier?

Do Your Ears Hang Low?
Do Your Ears Hang High?
Do They Reach Up to the Sky?
Do The Droop When They’re Wet?
Do They Stiffen When They’re Dry?
Can You Semaphore Your Neighbor with a Mimimum of
Labor?

Do Your Ears Hang High?
Do Your Ears Hang Wide?
Do They Flap From Side to Side?
Do They Wave in the Breeze?
From the Slightest Little Sneeze?
Can You Soar Above the Nation with a Feeling of
Elation?

Do Your Ears Hang Wide?
Do Your Ears Fall Off?
When You Give a Great Big Cough?
Do They Lie There on the Ground?
Or Bounce Up at Every Sound?
Can You Stick Them in Your Pocket Just Like Little
Davy Crockett?

Do Your Ears Fall Off?

Michael Moore making excuses, shilling and covering for war criminal president Obama.

Nothing new here. Nothing to see. Carry on.
