In this clip from Tuesday’s “Democracy Now!” we hear the story of Goldman Sachs’ recent move to back out of a fundraiser for the Lower East Side People’s Federal Credit Union after the financial giant caught wind that the event would pay tribute to the Occupy Wall Street movement. But, as Amy Goodman and investigative reporter Greg Palast point out, there could be an ironic back story here about the $5,000 in pledge funds that Goldman also pointedly withdrew. Take a look below.  —KA

yes this is outrageous, but the only reason its making the news is that Amy’s friend
Greg’s former wife is the CEO of the credit union and of course ‘connections’ are
the way of the world

but face it, this is peanuts compared to what Goldman Sachs has done around the
world with its trillions in kited derivatives and the investing it does for its clients in
numerous military contractors and energy industry engineering firms, topically
speaking, those now loading up their carpetbags for their neocolonial Africa
enterprise,  literally paved by NATO’s carpet bombing

to make sure it was sold across the political spectrum, Democracy Now was
enlisted as front line Left Gatekeeper to shill NATO’s propaganda, right from day
one through the declaration of victory (aka coup d’etat) - Juan Cole came on and
regurgitated the NATO propaganda and not once was it articulatley countered,
(e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=nfQu5CO82dA#!)

Gerg’s coming to my town soon, selling his new book, but I wont’ be buying his
limited hangout snake oil - and I recommend to all progressives that if you want
serious voices against the corporate media look them up on Russia Today - DN is
limited hangout, deflective source disinformation

DN can tell the truth on OWS peanut gallery issues, but when it comes to the jack
pot (e.g. neocolonial regime change in Africa), it’s Soros-and-Ford-foundation-
approved propaganda.

It’s outrageous that they haven’t any qualms about
taking other people’s money, taxpayer money no less
(required BY LAW to be administered) and using it to
threaten others to play politics their way.  I say 3
days in prison….. it might sound like a light
sentence but I say they wouldn’t stay alive for more than 48 hours, like Gaddafi and Hussein.

This is not unlike the workplace intimidation which
has run rampant these last several years. Play
politics our way or you won’t have a job.  Of course
currently they simply won’t hire anyone who refuses
to be a crony for their bankrupt agenda.
