Bush Officials Should Be Prosecuted for Iraq War, Michael Moore SaysPosted on Mar 20, 2013
As far as liberal filmmaker and activist Michael Moore is concerned, former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld is a war criminal. “I don’t understand why he, [George W.] Bush, [Dick] Cheney, [Paul] Wolfowitz are still walking the streets,” Moore told CNN’s Piers Morgan on Tuesday, the 10th anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq. “The whole way they are trying to revise history now is by saying, ‘Well, it was a mistake,’ or, ‘We were given bad information.’ ” Moore, who has steadily claimed over the years that the Bush administration officials lied to get us into the Iraq War, also complained about the lack of repercussions against them, claiming it set a bad precedent for future U.S. leaders. “The fact that no one has paid for this criminal act—why would an American, such as George W. Bush, send thousands of Americans off to their deaths? For what reason? And why doesn’t he have to answer for that?” he asked. Advertisement
