‘Left, Right & Center’: Snowden, Food Stamps and an Immigration Thunderbolt

Posted on Jul 12, 2013
kcrw.com

Truthdig Editor-in-Chief Robert Scheer and the other “Left, Right & Center” panelists discuss the new Quinnipiac University poll showing that more American voters consider Edward Snowden a whistle-blower than a traitor, by 55 to 34 percent. Should Russia grant Snowden asylum?

Tension in Congress was high this week as House Republicans passed a farm bill that stripped funding for food stamps. The decades-old program cost $80 billion out of the $100 billion a year measure. And debate raged over the immigration legislation. Our commentator on the right, Rich Lowry, penned an op-ed about the discussion. Should the U.S. continue to support Egypt, even if there was a military coup? It’s a 98 percent Zimmerman-free show.

Scheer and Lowry are joined by host Matt Miller.
