NPR canned Juan Williams and created a firestorm of negative publicity and political calls to defund public broadcasting. Is there such a thing as separation between so-called objective and opinion media? And how much is the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mortgage mess costing Americans? With only 10 days left before the midterm elections, “Left, Right & Center” regulars Robert Scheer, Arianna Huffington and Matt Miller, along with special right-wing guest David Frum, consider who’s going to show up at the polls this time around.  —KA

New and Improved Comments

We are launching a major overhaul of our comments section.

In addition to more robust spam filtering and moderation, new features include the ability to rate other comments, sort how they are displayed and respond directly via e-mail or in a thread.
