‘Left, Right & Center’: Health Care Huddle, Goldman/GreecePosted on Feb 26, 2010
Was any progress made at Thursday’s health care summit on Capitol Hill? Is Goldman Sachs bringing down the global economy? Is it Wall Street gone wild or just the progress of capitalism? And is the U.S. trouncing Toyota because the federal government owns GM? So many questions, but luckily the “Left, Right & Center” lineup is ready for all of them on this week’s show. When a card carrying Boot Strapper like Tony advocates sink or swim health care
policies, I get it. His every-man-for-himself political philosophy is morally
offensive and sociopathic by definition, but at least it represents an intellectually
honest position.
Lately it’s Matt’s sticky, bloodless pragmatism that truly offends. There is
shamefully nothing that Matt, Mister “forty yard line” Miller advocates that is
worth fighting for - -it’s all just a prattling, wonkish wash of political white bread
served up on an inexplicably condescending platter. Matt, I guess once a
bureaucratic minion, always a bureaucratic minion, eh?
But cheers to Robert Scheer for completely destroying Tony and Matt on the iPod
Report thisthing. Rarely has there been such a clear victory on L,R,&C.

I love Tony’s use of the traditional Republican/rightwing copout: “...if done
properly,” while defending the CDO and derivative ballsup that wrecked the
economy.
Apparently, one can overlook a lifetime of idiotic notions by blaming their failure
Report thison faulty execution.
