Left, Right & Center

It’s hard to believe that the curtain may soon go down on our health care reform drama, but it looks like we could soon have a bill—whether three-quarters of Americans like it or not. Should it be voted in now and fixed later? This is surely a question for “Left, Right & Center” regulars Arianna Huffington, Tony Blankley, Matt Miller and Robert Scheer. Also this week: the disastrous state of state budgets, educational upheavals in California, and the trial of the notorious KSM.  —KA

American democracy.

A ‘health care’ bill that only serves to increase corporate profits, that’s opposed by 75% of the citizens, who are about to be told to go stuff it because only corporate profits matter to our bought off politicians.

And our media gives you this ‘health care debate’, brought to you by the network’s corporate sponsors.

America, a government of the corporations, by the corporations and for the corporations.  If it was a government ‘of the people’, then the fact that 75% oppose this would mean it would never pass.

As a note, that’s about the same percentage of the people who opposed the wall street bailouts and the wars.

The question is, when will this 75% stop voting for corporate-sponsored politicians who continually shaft the citizens in the name or ever greater corporate profits.

Every incumbent should face a third party challenger over this in the fall elections.
