Left, Right & Center
kcrw.com

On this Black Friday edition of “Left, Right & Center,” regulars Robert Scheer, Tony Blankley, Matt Miller and Arianna Huffington get philosophical, trotting out the likes of Karl Marx and Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel to get a read on the timely and fundamental question of whether it’s truly possible to govern the people of the United States under the “of, by and for” setup. Also on this week’s show: Is history made by great men and women, or does the moment make the leader?  —KA

Problems of governability:  Too governable?  Governable by whom or by what? By greed?  By ignorance and misinformation?  By confusion? By fear and intimidation?  By violence?  By money?  By distractions?  By myths of superiority, destiny, etc? By the need to eat? By desire to stay alive?

Problems of leadership:  Chicken or egg question?  Or both, plus….(something else)?  Waiting for Godot?

Left, Right & Center’: America the Ungovernable?

Sorry illustrious four.

You are too late.

America has already been privatized.

Descendants of the original settlers who escaped

debtors prisons in England are once again enslaved in

a debtors abyss controlled by London.

The whole core of the original notion of America was to be an ungovernable country.  Just go ask King George III about that.

If you want to be an American patriot, be ungovernable.

The founding fathers deliberately tried to create a central government that would be limited in power.  In other words, they did their very best to make sure that the Federal government COULD NOT completely govern!  That’s the intentional design of the whole system in an attempt to protect the freedom of American citizens.

The whole nature and design of America was to create an ungovernable country where people could be free.

Funny, when its time to give all of our money to wall street, our government works quickly and efficiently.

When its time to expand and escalate wars, our government works with great determination and moves unwaveringly towards a goal.

All of the people who tells us that government is always a fouled-up bureaucracy that can’t do anything right, these are the same people who always hold up the military as an example of an outstanding organization that should be emulated throughout American life.

Left, right, whatever… it doesn’t matter.  America is
being governed just fine and always has been.  Health
care, taxes, abortion—these issues are not
important.  What matters is foreign policy and how
America deals with the obstacles to it’s rapacious
greed.  Bush to Obama has changed nothing in that
regard.  America is still militarily occupying nations
all over the world and waging wars both openly and
covertly.  The problem is not the ruling party (is
there even a difference?).  America is the problem.
