‘Left, Right & Center’: Foreign Affairs Troubles and a Nevada Rancher

A 700-page economics text about inequality is the best-selling book on Amazon. Everyone is talking about French economist Thomas Piketty’s book on rising inequality, “Capital in the Twenty-First Century.” Things are going wrong around the world—rising tension in Ukraine, reports of chlorine gas attacks in Syria, peace talks between the Israelis and the Palestinians break down, the U.S. and Japan can’t reach agreement on a trade deal—and the president seems to be wandering aimlessly around East Asia. Finally, conservatives have fallen out of love with Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy.

Truthdig Editor-in-Chief Robert Scheer discusses these topics on “Left, Right & Center” with New York Times domestic correspondent Josh Barro moderating from the center, and The Atlantic senior editor David Frum give the perspective from the right.
