‘Left, Right & Center’: End of an Era in Iraq and Libya

This was a big week in international news, with the death of Libyan leader Col. Moammar Gadhafi and President Obama’s announcement that U.S. troops will be leaving Iraq before 2012. And let’s not forget the latest unrest in Greece, stemming from the passage of a highly contested austerity bill by that country’s parliament.

Bringing it back home, “Left, Right & Center” regulars Robert Scheer, Tony Blankley and Matt Miller and guest Chrystia Freeland also take a beat to talk about the roundup of Republican presidential contenders on this week’s show.  —KA

I’m a VietNam vet that’s voting for? Dr. Paul. I think veterans question the US policy of constant war moreso than non-veteran citizens. More veterans donate to Dr. Paul than? all other candidates combined! Ask the right question, you get the right answer - End the Fed - Ron Paul

Dr. Paul needs MONEY!

‘Left, Right & Center’ sums it up. That is us. We represent the West. All equally deluded and evil. We have bombed Iraq back to The Stoneage, and think its O.K.. The US Army may be leaving, only to be replaced by an Army of Mercenaries.

The situation in Libya, is even worse. We have also bombed Libya back to The Stoneage, and even the “Progressive Left” have been fully complicit in promoting the most blatant lies and propaganda. In the case of Libya we used the most evil Mercenary Army we could recruit to do our killing for us.

Yet even OWS are celebrating the “liberation” of Libya which in reality is its total destruction.

Virtually no one is actually telling the Truth, about how incredibly evil we are, and the fact that it is us committing mass genocide.

Do none of you guys do any objective research, or do you simply believe all the nonsense you are spoon fed from your political tribe - be it Left, Right or Centre?

What completely disgusts me, is not just the Glee of us blatant killers, but our complete ignorance and stupidity. I expect it from the neocon right, but the liberal left are 10 times worse and like Judas have lost all semblance of morality.

Now toddle along and campaign for Obama as gross poverty and World War III envelops us all.

Nothing is going to stop it. We are too gullible, stupid and evil.

Tony

INTIMATIONS OF THE NEXT WORLD

19.

“Clemencia es una palabra que se usa poco.”
Eliseo Alberto, CARACOL BEACH

The word, clemency,
was used by Gadafi 2
days ago when he
asked his captors if they were
familiar with the term—

just before they fired
a bullet into his brain
(or his stomach, or
his shoulder, or his elbow—
depending on whose account).

I prefer to think
he died from the collapsed dreams
that we call old age:
more of a disease than the
click of a Kalashnikov

crudely applied next
to a culvert in Sirte,
poor berber’s version
of the chase through Vienna’s
sewers after Harry Lime

in The Third Man, with
Orson Welles’ fingers reaching
up toward the street for
the escape of clemency.
On this planet of rubble

there is no mercy
for the dreamer of union
among agendas
to dominate the ant hill
in the name of human rights,

even less if the
dreamer spins his fantasies
crouched on top of huge
reserves of water and oil.
Chávez deplanes to pray thanks

for the absence of
cancerous cells; in Gallup,
New Mexico, a
Navajo man dies from life
in the uranium mines.

All fine and well that we’re finally pulling troops out of Iraq.
And while we’re all celebrating that fact, Obama is sending military “advisers” into central Africa.

Just more double-talk from the military machine’s stooge.
