‘Left, Right & Center:’ Edward Snowden, Bradley Manning, Iran Sanctions and the Fed

Posted on Aug 2, 2013

This week, Bradley Manning was found not guilty of aiding the enemy, and Edward Snowden learns he can live in Moscow. With that news, Congress prepares for NSA hearings based on information Snowden leaked, and declassifies piles of documents. Hassan Rowhani is to be inaugurated as the new president of Iran this weekend. The only moderate running for the office, Rowhani won in a relative landslide. The U.S. Congress greeted that news with an enthusiastic vote for sanctions. Then, who should run the Fed? Larry Summers appears to be President Obama’s favorite, but remains controversial.

Truthdig Editor-in-Chief Robert Scheer discusses it all with “Left, Right & Center” host Matt Miller, National Public Radio correspondent Mike Pesca and chief political correspondent at the Washington Examiner Byron York.
