‘Left, Right & Center’: Campaigning vs. GoverningPosted on Jan 27, 2012
Up for consideration on this week’s “Left, Right & Center” are such considerable topics as President Obama’s State of the Union address and the state of play in the race for the Republican presidential nomination. On board for the discussion are regulars Matt Miller and Robert Scheer, as well as guest panelists David Frum and Chrystia Freeland. You know you want to listen. —KA KCRW: Advertisement New and Improved CommentsIf you have trouble leaving a comment, review this help page. Still having problems? Let us know. Wow, David Frum makes me miss Tony Blankley. His analysis of Ron Paul’s response to the health care worried woman from the debate a few night’s ago was utterly obnoxious. What a nitwit Frum is.

RE: A wink and a nudge.
One of Obama’s classic code phrases is “turn the page”.
This can usually be interpreted as a “wink and a nudge” whether it is referring to the administrations reluctance to investigate war crimes by the Bush (and now his own) administration, or as it is used in this quote from the SOTU as a “wink and a nudge” to the banksters who will needless to say, not be held accountable:
“This new unit will hold accountable those who broke the law, speed assistance to homeowners and help turn the page on an era of recklessness that hurt so many Americans.”
