‘Left, Right & Center’: Afghanistan, Health Care, Financial CommissionPosted on Dec 17, 2010
This week’s episode of “Left, Right & Center” features a double dose of commentary from the right, making the conversation about Obama’s strategy in Afghanistan, the death of Richard Holbrooke, the future of health care reform, the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission’s findings and other breezy topics that much more lively. —KA KCRW: Advertisement Previous item: ‘Hope Is Action’: Hedges and Ellsberg Arrested at White House Protest Next item: WikiLeaks the Rap Musical New and Improved CommentsIf you have trouble leaving a comment, review this help page. Dear Robert Scheer,
Report thisThank you for taking the time to put Mr. Richard Holbrooke’s career as public man and diplomat in its proper historical perspective. It was very refreshing to hear a commentary that reflected the actuality of his endeavors rather than the avalanche of bathetic hagiography passing for informed comment.
Best regards,

I think it is interesting that the double right wing commentators habitually
Report thisblame the government but neglect to mention which party in government
prevents proper financial regulation. They are denying their party’s
culpability. So it was a good week for conservatives? We don’t have any
conservatives anymore. The Republicans are radicals and will bring the
country down but not until they have dismantled Social Security, Medicaid
and Medicare. Their motto should be “Spend and no taxes”. Not that the
Democrat are much better, just weaker. I don’t expect much in the
coming years or ever. Mr. Scheer was the only one to even mention the
suffering that hundreds of millions caused by Wall Street, Clinton, Bush,
Rubin and crowd and our perennial culprit, Summers. And now Obama.
