Laura Bush Disagreed With Dubya on Gay Marriage, AbortionPosted on May 12, 2010
Who knew that, while George W. Bush held office at the White House, a supporter of gay marriage and abortion rights lurked under the same roof? That would be his wife, Laura Bush, who told Larry King and his shiny suspenders on Tuesday that she disagreed with her husband on those two big social issues. But they weren’t the cause of any Bush family culture wars, according to Laura, who tells King in this clip that she and W. didn’t squabble over their differences in these departments. —KA “Larry King Live” via YouTube: Advertisement Previous item: Newsweek Scribe Setoodeh Defends Gay Actor Critique Next item: ‘Colbert Report’: Elena Kagan May Not Enjoy Bratwurst New and Improved CommentsIf you have trouble leaving a comment, review this help page. Mrs Bush has evidently forgotten all her religious upbringing. The world may change [philosophically and biblically] but God’s word never changes. Anyone who thinks that same sex marriage is acceptable by God has no inkling of what is awaiting them in the hereafter. I have always admired her, but no longer.
