Jon Stewart vs. Bill O’Reilly: The DebatePosted on Sep 18, 2012
The most eagerly anticipated face-off of the election season will not feature President Obama and Mitt Romney, but rather will pit longtime nemeses Jon Stewart and Bill O’Reilly in a battle between the left-leaning Comedy Central and conservative Fox News personalities. On Monday, it was announced that the pair would be meeting up for a 90-minute debate next month at The George Washington University in D.C. The Oct. 6 event, already dubbed “The Rumble in the Air-Conditioned Auditorium,” will be livestreamed for a fee of $4.95, half of which will go to charity. Stewart, host of “The Daily Show,” and O’Reilly, host of “The O’Reilly Factor,” have occasionally sparred on each other’s programs over the years, and, as you will see below, it’s little wonder that fans of the two television hosts are looking forward to this next round.
