Jon Stewart Goes After Fox News for Attacking the Poor and Food Stamps

Posted on Mar 14, 2014
Screen Shot

Television commentator Eric Bolling made the mistake in trying to “school” Jon Stewart on the U.S. food stamp program and alleged abuses made by the country’s poor. When it came down to numbers, Fox News felt that the $3 billion used on the food stamp program was completely outrageous, but when confronted with the $4 billion corporations get in tax havens, Fox News anchors felt there was no real issue to be had. “The Daily Show” host continues to point out that Fox acts as a courtier of corporations by holding them to different standards. Stewart also looks into how JPMorgan is making money on the food stamp debit card business even though the company cast many into poverty with its subprime mortgages and banking malpractices.
