Jon Stewart and Bill O’Reilly Attempt to Define Fox News

Stewart and O'Reilly
foxnews.com

In these clips from Wednesday’s “The O’Reilly Factor” featuring a cameo by Jon Stewart, Bill O’Reilly and his guest disagree on a few things. This is to be expected. By the end of their tête-à-tête, Stewart and O’Reilly had not reached a workable consensus about the exact nature of Fox News. Is it a “cyclonic perpetual emotion machine” sending forth coherent, if simplified, narratives about complex sociopolitical issues? Or “fair and balanced”? And, more important, is Bill O’Reilly kind of like “the skinny kid at fat camp”? (Stewart, as you might imagine, was the originator of that last characterization.)  —KA

leadership is not contingent on official sanction or imprimatur. a person who acts with honor and integrity will inspire the like-minded by example if not election. he wields a big schtick.
there are no term limits on inhabiting the moral high ground. long may he reign.

I think Jon Stewart would be a good leader.

He talks about having an internal barometer when reporting news, something few journalists can lay claim to.

O’Reilly’s condescending attitude towards Stewart illustrates just how out of touch O is.

Actually, while I have no love for O’Reilly, he was on his best behavior and held himself pretty well. Jon, however, has it all over him in political analysis - and honesty.

I did, however, love Bill’s reference to Jon’s audience as “stoned slackers”...LOL.

OK, the video’s back, but now I’m wondering if the original post had as much editing to it, because it doesn’t seem to be shown in it’s entirety.

Heh, saw this on youtube. You guys left out the creepy part, where they bring on a ‘body language expert’ to analyze view.

Poor Jon looked like he had a migraine.

FOX news is criminal. Their act is a criminal act. They belong in prison. Its obvious they take drugs before the broadcasts and then they think they can get away with murder by saying “covered it up” whenever they make a gaffe. Who the hell do they think they are fooling?
Everybody that turns them off is a witness against them. They have voted with their televison dials.
KEEP YOUR TIVO TAPES AND DISKS WE ARE GOING TO PUT THEM IN PRISON!!!!!!
