Harvard the (Fake) InfomercialPosted on Nov 18, 2009
Lawrence Summers’ derivative bets may have cost Harvard $11 billion, but we didn’t see this coming. America’s premier training ground for millionaires and unabombers has resorted to late night infomercials. Ever consider a career in bonuses? Act now! Don’t get too excited. This is (obviously) fake. —PZS [The Chronicle of Higher Education via Larry’s List] Advertisement Previous item: ‘Mass: We Pray’ Brings the Excitement of Church to Your Living Room Next item: Hedges and Friends Debate Illusion, Conservatism and 9/11 New and Improved CommentsIf you have trouble leaving a comment, review this help page. Funny but true. Anyone the Ivy League mafia produces ends up holding the reins of power (e.g. White House, the Fed). There are little to no individuals working in “power positions” that are not from Ivy League Schools (e.g. Harvard, Yale, Princeton).
