Glenn Beck is holding a rally at the Lincoln Memorial on the anniversary of Martin Luther King’s dream speech. Our friends at Brave New Films send this video lowlight reel to remind us why Beck shouldn’t dare stand anywhere near King’s legacy.

I disagree with you assessments of MSNBC personnel in the evening shows, call me Roy, . What no mention of Maddow & Schultze? A nice way of dissing and promoting people to not listen to them. Fox and CNN will be proud! We don’t want them to get intelligent, historical, correct news analysis now do we? Better to go with Distort-the-News networks the general run of the Corporate MSM. MSNBC is the exception for the moment.

Now if Beck just define his terms for what “honor” is to him. Is there honor in building a free nation on the backs of slaves? That the “Rights of Man” are taken by others & restricted to be just for the albionic male owners of property? He doesn’t address that either but maybe tomorrow they will. Don’t hold your breath on that.

Right wing extremists always try to rewrite history whenever they can since they are uncomfortable with too many self evident truths.  Ironically they are like the communists of the former Soviet Union who had to rewrite their history books every few years to reflect the viewpoint of the latest dictators.  A few days ago a caller on Beck’s radio program thanked him “for teaching us our history.”  It is a measure of the failure of our educational system that Beck is taken seriously by so many.

“The stage is being set for the Glenn Beck “Restoring Honor” rally in front of the Lincoln Memorial.”

Beck has the right to hold this rally, but I do not comment and will not comment on the wisdom of doing so.

Beck is the Horst Wessel of the Brownshirt wing of the Republican/Teabug party.  And this rally will be his “Triumph of the Will”.

Glenn Beck ratings skyrocket
The biggest news in cable news of 2010 is the remarkable rise of Glenn Beck at Fox. His Friday night special drew huge numbers and leapfrogged his show above long-time #2 Sean Hannity. What was CNN thinking when the let this guy get away? As for the rest of the cable news pack, some were up a little, some were down a little. And Larry King continues to be CNN’s last man standing. Not now. So who does MSNBC have? Nobody except Keith Olbermann who has the contagious virus going around MSNBC called the “Maher Syndrome.” Keith’s commentary never included a smidgeon of intelligence but now it’s even worse, he now sounds like a cross between Mel Gibson and Lawrence O’Donnell. As the syndrome progresses it will cause Keith to fall into the “Chris Matthews phase.” This will lead him to believe that he is his own guest, in other words, he asks and answers every question. This will lead Keith to start spitting when he pronounces certain words, it’s similar to Sylvester the Cat’s lisp.  Sylvester’s lisp of course was much worse but at least the people he talked to stayed dry. The next phase is the Dylan Rattigan phase and he will find himself starting to spend time in Hugh Hefner’s grotto and believing the women when they tell him “you were great” or he will start believing the info coming out of “Pravda” MSNBC. The last stage of the syndrome is called the Bill Maher psycho phase. This phase will start with an eye “tremor” or eye itch, similar to the one that Inspector Dryfus had (Inspector Clouseau’s enemy) in the Pink Panther movies. The angrier you get, the more it twitches. The more it twitches the angrier you get. And of course with this last phase, he will start believing the notes the Progressives have him reading.

He claims to be a bridge builder, non-violence, and that we are all one. But does Beck‘s rhetoric hold up? That is the method in his, not madness, but agenda of direction and manipulation of the sheeple to hate the wrong things and demand things that will ultimately cut the rug out from under them. Smart, but in an evil way. Don’t under estimate him or the machine that backs him and dozens of others promoting variations on their toxic theme.

He really hates Woodrow Wilson (I have problems with him too) but he is fine with people like Hoover, Reagan, GHWB & of course most Republicans and a few Democrats and above all corporations can do no wrong.

It is strange he embraces Dr. MLK Jr. even though he was for social justice which Beck villifies and says it is comparable to “Nazis” and what they did early on. [Don’t know where he came across that factoid.] So it isn’t the facts of the person unless he needs to use it. So far Dr. MLK Jr. is sacrosanct so the truth of his back ground that contradicts Beck‘s central theme is mum in his circles. Just avoided but at any time he may set it up to attack Dr. MLK Jr., but I doubt it.

You will see the same selective blindness with Ayn Rand because she is an Atheist and he despises them as “anti-American” (sometimes) but her views on the economy and Capitalism is better than gold so he just ignores that fault of hers to get to the juicy part he and the others feed on with glee.

No, indeed he is not Martin Luther King jr. He was, last time I checked, a big, fat, white, redneck racist loser. Give him a banjo and put him on a verandah. He belongs in the movie ‘Deliverance’. Obviously someone has told the Republicans and their repulsive media friends that it’s time they took over the most outstanding figures from the progressive side of politics and pretend they always supported and agreed with them. Vomit making.
