Gibbs, Chinese Scuffle Over U.S. Press Access in CopenhagenPosted on Dec 18, 2009
Relations were a bit strained between the U.S. and China during Friday’s session at the Copenhagen climate conference, and some of that tension apparently was channeled by the Chinese and American media that converged in a crowded room as President Barack Obama, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and other world leaders huddled. Here we see White House spokesman Robert Gibbs elbow his way into a bit of a scuffle between members of the U.S. press attempting to enter the room and Chinese representatives attempting to keep them out. Gibbs wasn’t having it, admonishing Wen’s men for blocking American reporters after members of the Chinese press had been allowed in, barking, “Don’t push my guys!” and threatening to “leave this meeting” if they weren’t able to enter. —KA AP via YouTube: Advertisement Previous item: ‘Droopy’ Lieberman Kills Health Care Reform Next item: ‘Left, Right & Center’: Fat Cats and Health Care Spats New and Improved CommentsIf you have trouble leaving a comment, review this help page. Petty nonsense is not restricted to one side or the other, it is common to both.

Good show! It is good to see “everyone” in the administration standing up for what is right….and actually (as seen here) showing it. Again, good show Gibbs!
