Trump (Again) Considers Running for PresidentPosted on Feb 21, 2012
This election is so important, Donald Trump told the home crowd on CNBC, he would “seriously, seriously consider” running for president if Rick Santorum won the nomination. Trump has endorsed Mitt Romney, but previously flirted with the idea of campaigning. Despite polls that showed his endorsement to be more of a liability than a boon, Trump appeared to take credit for Romney’s win in Mormon-friendly Nevada. However the “Apprentice” host acknowledged that Romney hasn’t been able to get over the hump and it would be “impossible,” he says, for Santorum to beat Barack Obama in the general election. —PZS (Hat tip to Political Wire.)
