Alleged Murder Plot Fans U.S.-Iran TensionsPosted on Oct 12, 2011
Figuring in among the lineup of top stories on Wednesday’s broadcast of “Democracy Now!” is the alleged assassination plot against Saudi Arabia Ambassador Adel al-Jubeir, for which the U.S. has charged two Iranian agents. Meanwhile, government officials in Tehran are accusing the Obama administration of creating a distraction from certain pressing domestic issues (ahem, Occupy Wall Street), and one Iranian source quoted in this report went so far as to compare the U.S display of diplomatic indignation to a “comedy show fabricated by America.” —KA Advertisement Previous item: What a 6-Year-Old Iraqi Girl Would Ask the American Who Shot Her in the Head Next item: Oct. 15 Is the Big Day New and Improved CommentsWe are launching a major overhaul of our comments section. This is something the Corporate USan Media won’t dare mention but is a significant event nonetheless:
——————-
“Iran complains to UN over US claim”
Iran ambassador to the UN forwards a letter of complaint to the world body, voicing outrage over the US allegations of the Islamic Republic’s involvement in a plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to Washington.
http://presstv.com/detail/204089.html
In a letter addressed to the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, the Iranian envoy, Mohammad Khazaei, equaled the allegation with an instance of politically-motivated ‘warmongering’ by the United States, IRNA reported.
The complaint followed the US Justice Department’s claim that Iran had been involved in a plot to assassinate the Saudi official, Adel Al-Jubeir, with help from a suspected member of a Mexican drug cartel.
“The Iranian nation seeks a world free from terrorism and considers the current US warmongering and propaganda machine [working] against Iran as a threat not just against Iran but to the peace and stability in the Persian Gulf region,” read part of the letter.
Earlier in the day, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Ramin Mehmanparast, rejected the accusation, saying such ‘ludicrous’ claims hinged on the hostile joint stances adopted by the US and Israel against the country.
“These threadbare attitudes, which are based on the age-old and hostile American-Zionist policies, are a ridiculous show in line with certain [instances of] scenario fabrication of divisive ends on the part of the enemies of Islam and the region,” he said.
He also condemned all acts of terrorism, adding that Washington was employing the legerdemain to divert attention from the growing domestic protests it was facing.

This is probably just the USA’s way to do yet another military excursion in the world. This time in Iran, which I understand that the powers that be want a war/occupation of and with Iran sooooo badly. It does not do anyone any good calling out Iran’s hypocrisy as the USA does the same in its foreign relations. Also, the current theocracy in Iran was in response to the USA instilling a dictator in Iran. Therefore, the USA has no one to blame but itself! How would the USA feel if a foreign nation came over and “liberated” the USA society from the current regime the USA has, a regime that values money over people in the name of so-called liberty?

Well since this clumsy mess of a plot lacks a coherent sub-text & contains too many loose ends to really deliver a meaningful warmongering aim for the amerikan imperialists, we have to look for some other cause.
I tend to agree with the rightists on this.
That is this hastily dragged out third rate conspiracy has been deployed to muddy the waters of the mess Holder has gotten into over the insane ‘fast & furious’ plot.
It is really difficult to discern the true goals of ‘fast & furious’ the ninnies claim it is a marxist plot to subvert the 2nd amendment a notion which is even crazier than claiming that Iran would hire a used car salesman to do their wet work.
I have no doubt we will eventually discover the imperialist motive at the heart of fast & furious, however if the Holderite/Obama-ists have their way most citizens will conflate the amerikan govt role with some Iranian ‘dept of dirty tricks’.
The contemporaneity of the two stories means that the plots will become forever intertwined in the mind of the average Joe Citizen.
Report thisI realise how ludicrous this sounds first time through but information overloads are frequently generated then exploited by oppressors to confuse the masses who are just too busy trying to survive to fully ingest & analyse each individual attack upon their freedom.
The timing plus the involvement of one of the current hot button bogeymen the so-called “mexican cartels” in both tales will easily create the confusion that the post rovian newspinners are aiming for.

Creating insecurity is good for business. More jobs making weapons. More jobs in the “intelligence services”. More jobs in the Pentagon. More jobs killing people in foreign countries. More jobs taking care of injured veterans when and if they get back home. More mobs for media propagandists. Wow! Have a nice Christmas, y’all.

This sounds to me more a false-flag operation than a credible allegation. Let me elaborate!
1. If the Iranians had beef with their supposedly Muslim brethren, then it would be more practical and easier to assassinate the Saudi ambassador in their country or in another country in the area.
2. By making Washington the place of this fake manufactured plot, the US establishment aims at hitting two birds or more with one stone. One point is to keep the Americans frightened about an ever present threat coming from the Muslim world, and thus diverting a little attention from the troubles at home, and precisely the revolt of the 99% movement.
3. The American establishment hopes to frighten the Saudis into pouring millions of dollars into more tight security arrangements for their embassy and diplomats in America in particular and in other parts of the world in general; of course all these security arrangements will be contracted by American corporations.
4. The American establishment hopes to push the Saudis into breaking their diplomatic relations with Iran and get them on a path of open hostilities. The result would possibly be a multi-billion American arms deal with Saudi Arabia, leading to preparing a future military attack on Iran, staged from Saudi Arabia.
5. Iran and Saudi Arabia have relatively friendly relations. Just one or two years ago, the President of Iran, Ahmadi Najad, visited Saudi Arabia, and I personally saw the two leaders holding hands and happily smiling. Obviously, these images don’t bode well with both political America and Israel. So something had to be done to turn these two Muslim countries into open enemies to serve the geopolitical interests of both the US and Israel!

So now the official interpretation on motive has Iran emboldened by the Arab
Spring. That’s a 180 from the US’s former stated support, though all along the
support has been applied inconsistently according to locale. It’s been
supported in Syria or Libya, but obviously not much in Bahrain or Egypt.
Well, I guess with our own spring finally coming into fruition, it’s probably time
to start discrediting all that surging hope and idealism both here and abroad.
That’s a Hollywood, C- movie twist to events. And like bad movies, there needs
to be strong elements of suggestion and fear. Not to mention illogic, like
asserting that a largely autocratic and Sharia-oriented nation like Iran feels
more muscular because of the spring. I doubt if it does any more than Saudi
Arabia.
Of course, there’s the glaring discrepancy of the arrest and charges of almost 2

And now the Mexican drug cartels are conspiring with the Iranians to assassinate their fellow Islamic fundamentalists, the Saudis? My bullshit detector is at red. And how I wish Monty Python could have done this as a sketch. Then the whole lying piece of FBI crap would at least have been good for a laugh. Perhaps the costumes could have been a white Saudi robe teamed with a big Mexican hat while a guitar and trumpet troupe plays ‘The Lonely Bull’ and Prince Bandar tells witty tales about his jolly times with the Bush family and Hilary Clinton repeats the words ‘international law, international law’ over and over while everyone pretends America obeys it.

More rationalization and jingoistic bullshit meant o fan the flames of war against Iran. The REAL resaon they want to go to war with Iran, is the SAME reason we went ot war against Iraq, and bombed Libya. To Privitize their National Central Banks whose ability to function as an independent central bank with soveriegn currency depends on the state owned Oil wealth.
Report thisWe protest against Banks around the country, all the while the fan the flames of more war debt and sending our sons and daughters to die, (theirs won’t go - count on it), in far off lands to extend their currency empire.
