Last weekend’s big right-wing clusterf summit meeting, CPAC 2010, brought out the bright, white stars of conservative America, many of whom conjured up some creative labels for their enemies on the left, including this gem from Mitt Romney: “Liberal neo-monarchists.” Huh?  —KA

THE Irony is, Monarchism is a Conservative Ideology. The Right Wing was explicitly created in France to support the Monarchy, whereas the Left Wing was created to abolish it in Favour of a Republic.

Americans hate Monarchy, largely due to the Mythic and stories Founding of America, in which the events are usually framed as a Struggle to be Free of a King, and the establishment of a Republic is integral to how Americans understand Freedom. Most can’t comprehend a King granting Freedom ad think that only in a Republic can we be Free.

So I suppose in that way claiming that Liberals are Monarchists makes sense, in that the Conservatives are liking two things they hate as if they are to facets of the same thing, and play off the already-existent hatred of Monarchy to promote their dislike of modern Liberals as somehow more Sinister. It also lets them link the modern struggle between Liberals and Conservatives to Americas Founding, with them cast in the Roles of the Patriots, and Liberals as Loyalists. The actual Political beliefs f the Loyalists will be Ignored, of course, as will what Monarchism teaches in General. Its Human Psychology I suppose, and its much like how some Atheists link all Religions to Islam and all Islam to Terrorism, so they use 9-11 as proof of how bad Religion is as if Christians believe the same things as Muslims, and so do Hindus…

Its all very insulting to all parties involved but helps shore up the Faithful, so it will continue no matter how deplorable a lie it is.

All the CPAC crowed are twisted into knots now that their first black president is doing what they want! Wow that false partisanship can be a bitch when he gives it all to them and they must decline. No quarter given to their “enemy” is LOL!

Mit “the flip” Romney who gave Gingrich
care to Massachusetts & now want to give it to all of us should be the one to talk on monarchies. The reich wingers think themselves royalty anyway, just dressed in those bland expensive suits.

CPAC is hard up for more people of colors. But then so are the Democrats. Its just much harder for the Republican branch because so many barely hidden neo-Confederates and American Nazis are in it or deal with such. It is hard to find enough “Uncle Toms” to fit their bills.  Such extremism is bad for liberty for all.

Raw Story has this video of the alcoholic, wind bag Glenn Beck saying that he educated himself at the library in his talk to the CPAC,  and still gets paid big bucks to spread propaganda by News Corp’s Rupert Murdoch, who owns the FOX Network and many other media outlets and keeps this type of propaganda talk going on a daily basis against progressives, liberals, socialist, the populace, the Left; around the world all the time, wherever News Corp has wormed their way in.

England is having to deal with News Corp’s conservative bias against progressives and liberals as well; and England is trying to kick Beck off the air, but Murdock supports him even though he has no advertisers on his program in England at all, and has lost nearly all of his advertiser in the United States; he is still supported by the Conservative Right-Wing EXTREME Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp., who pays high salaries to those people of the populace who will use propaganda against the populace to turn the populace away from anything liberal, their own best interest, toward only conservative corporate interests.  It is the same as Adolph Hitler’s evil plan that Hitler used to get himself into position to take over control of Germany, after he murdered his opposition.  This Glenn Beck/Rupert Murdoch Right-Wing Tea Party thing is not for the populace in any way.

I tell you what, populace, if you didn’t know that Conservatism is the enemy, you surely know by now, that Conservatism considers that the populace is the Right’s enemy, because everything they are condemning in the previous video is the populace.

Was a good Daily Show, but I liked the segment they did after this where Glenn Beck tells the CPAC audience that he learned about the evils of progressivism from books he read at a LIBRARY! LOL

Romney decrying monarchists is like Jack the Ripper decrying murderers. He is a monarchist. Don’t expect the far right to look into the logic of arguments, they’re too far gone. A member of the Tea Party is supposed to have screamed: “Get your government’s hands out of the military.” And so it goes.

Out of curiosity, when has anyone anywhere ever voted for a king??

CPAC, the great regressive gathering.  Let’s see, no one of color that I could see, lots of older folks many of whom may be on government run healthcare (Medicare), lots of women who are there due to progressive legislation allowing them the right to political participation and lots of hyperventilating speakers hoping to stir up fear and spewing utter nonsense.  What a great convention!!

You know, I thought the President was very wise when he confronted the House Republicans when he said that they needed to be attentive to the rhetoric they spew for the sake of pleasing the base.  As they continue wailing against this administration they continue to place themselves inside an ever shrinking box.  As a result, they allow themselves little room for negotiation which is what is required when making decisions that will benefit the country.

How dare Romney say that!  As a liberal, I resent the suggestion that Obama-style neo-monarchists are liberals.
