Congress: Not the Place for Insider Trading

The fact that lawmakers like Sen. Joe Lieberman need to go out of their way to draft specific legislation to stipulate that members of Congress shouldn’t be engaging in insider trading with information they may come across by virtue of their vaunted positions is kind of revealing, isn’t it?

Here’s Lieberman and fellow Sen. Scott Brown making their case in an AP clip posted on Tuesday. Now what varieties of congressional corruption might they tackle next?  —KA

Two things:

1) JimBob - Your disgusting, scatological comment made me laugh out loud. My sides still hurt….....Thanks for that….scat….

2) Every time I see a picture of that rat bastard, Joseph Lieberman, I want to punch him in the fact…...I despise him almost as much as I despise Mitt Romney….These guys are some of the most disgusting monsters in modern history….and people are stupid enough to vote them into public service????????

and the sins of the fathers will be visited upon their sons - anyone believing that
would assign us all to perdition - yeah, Assad is one tough SOB, agreed - so,
should Syria by given over to the likes of Abdel Akhim Belhadj, abject failed state
status (like Libya) and pried open to the ravages of IMF/World Bank hegemonic
debt servitude?

“and Assad is supposed to do nothing? Not defend his constituents?”

PLEASE. Assad’s father murdered 30,000 of his own people in cold blood when they rose up against his rule. Who do you blame for that bloodbath? Martians?

well have you heard?  the report is out…

http://globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=29025

the Arab League report on Syria and… guess what?

the MSM has lied all along.  The us israel and uk france, turkey and others are the real terrorists spawning al-cia-da groups which kill civilians and soldiers and cops…

and Assad is supposed to do nothing? Not defend his constituents?

so us-israel creates a problem, screams bloody murders, and proposes regime change as a solution.

and the cable morns swallow it whole even when day after day protest FOR Assad are fraudulently shown as protests “against the regime”.

Pure neocon crap.

and truthdig?

been on that same editorial line all the time, still is.  You will never see that report discussed here.  Just like the rest of them, they’re nothing but noecon warmongers if goyim blood is used for the greater israel.

connect the dots, scheer and truthdig all the same neocons posing as progessives but their first allegiance:

their jewishness.

That’s the problem with the world and ameriKa.

Your time is coming vermin.

Revealing?  Yeah, like saying that a big, brown, wet,
tube-shaped object that just emerged from a dog’s
asshole…guess what?  It smells bad!!  Wow, that’s
revealing!

Let us not forget our senators and house members get 4-5 months/year
vacation and only work Tuesday through Thursday, when Congress is in
session.

There is no way a guy like Lieberman is going to write a bill stopping Congress from taking advantage of inside information.  There will be loopholes in it big enough to drive a truck through.  Stop believing these corrupt politicians.  Nothing good can come from Washington, only more corruption. Washington is a disease.

This is one of 15 or so perks that congress enjoys
that no one else even gets to think about. These
“lawmakers” have voted themselves into the “the sweet
spot” in many areas that us underprivileged have to
pay for. When was the last time you voted yourself a
pay raise, received full wages retirement after
working in a job for four years, walk away from a DUI
because the legislature is in session, get free
health care, free plane tickets, and maybe you might
enjoy a free slush fund for us on improving your
public image? Some contend that this is the best job
in the world but then Mitt might argue that issue.

what an important milestone! they are rebuilding trust in politics by maybe passing an act that should never have even been an issue in the first place. we actually need laws for something this obvious?? congress might as well just take a sh*t on my front steps, would get the point across a lot easier.
