Clooney, Pitt, Sheen, Lynch & Co. Make a Play for Marriage EqualityPosted on Mar 5, 2012
On March 3, director Rob Reiner led an all-star cast, including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Jane Lynch, Kevin Bacon, Martin Sheen and Jamie Lee Curtis, through Dustin Lance Black’s play “8,” about the court battle over marriage equality in California that was set in motion by the passage of Proposition 8 in 2008. The one-time performance was streamed live that night, but it’s also been posted in its entirety for a spell on YouTube. Another good reason to watch: “Milk” and “J. Edgar” screenwriter Black did his magic on the script. Have a look below. And while you’re at it, check out The Advocate’s coverage of the performance here—turns out there was no shortage of talent among audience members that night. —KA

Of course the insurance companies are the ones primarily against this as they will now have to cover more people.
