Second, get over it. Americans like war and torture. They get off on war. They long for it. There is no way to persuade Americans to embrace anything but war and violence. Americans want it, and they can’t spend enough to get it. And therein lies the key to destroying America’s military empire. Encourage the ruinous spending.
Unless it is financially ruined beforehand, America will weaponize space and possibly trigger a planetary disaster.

Thank God for modern media! Dictators hate people who expose what dictators are doing. Now what we need is for ignorant people to get knowledgeable enough to be able to separate relative truth from absolute lies.

If there are truly better angels in our nature, Chris Hedges speaks from that place with another trumpet blast to get our attention. I slump in sadness for we human beings yoked to these horrors for such small minded nothings that are given as the reasons why.

And it was this man (Hedges) who was shown the door by the NYT? Excellent reason to just ignore the NYT. Mostly pussy reporters there.

Not long ago, I (age 70)was talking with an acquaintance (PhD in Counseling Psychology) who asked about PTSD which I’ve had for decades. As I talked about it, I had some emotion as I always do. He was unable to cope with it and instantly talked with me about counseling. He suggested the next time we got together he bring his collection of 200 lead soldiers to “lighten” the conversation. He had a hard time understanding why I didn’t want to get together again.
