Listen, gerard, this is how it works: Occupiers instigate confrontation with cops/guards/authority. They do this by blocking streets or bank entrances or insulting people or endangering people, and then the Occupiers pull out the cameras and video the response, including arrests or crowd control.

That is the method of Occupy Everywhere. How can anyone who has propelled Occupy say with a straight face that provocations like this shouldnt happen? its the lifeblood of Occupy, it is what got them on the map, and someday there will be an unfortunate evil response, and that will be a huge bonus to Occupy.

  To be fully conscious of one’s own behavior, and its effects on others, is not a highly cultivated skill among most Americans who tend to think of “freedom” as “my right to insult anybody anytime anywhere”. When two examples of “macho” collide, trouble is almost endemic unless one side is willing to “tolerate” the other side.
  This takes a lot of self-discipline, which is probably not stressed in the training of “security personnel” in general.  (wath the facial expressions.) Also, self disciplne is a fragile thing at best, easily destroyed in tense situations.

What freaks me about these cops—evidently some,
