Security Guard at Zuccotti: ‘Your Fly’s Open, Faggot’Posted on Nov 17, 2011
You may wonder what kind of goons Brookfield Properties—the owners of Zuccotti Park—hired to secure the area after Occupiers were evicted from the premises early Tuesday morning. At least one careless bigot numbered among the crowd. Witness this guard keep his lips sealed when a videographer asks about his position and employer, only to hurl a vicious slur across the barrier that separated them moments later. A comment on the video’s message board and reporters at Gothamist say the man was fired, but we were unable to confirm it. —ARK JoeysNewYork: Advertisement Previous item: The Data Behind the Occupy Movement Next item: ‘Democracy Now’: OWS Day of Action Special New and Improved CommentsIf you have trouble leaving a comment, review this help page. with the social pressure to hide who he was as a human being. He taught me more
about life, how to stick up for myself and how to make good with the ladies than
my actual father ever could. Sadly, my godfather is no longer with us. I really am
offended by people who hate gays.

Private security is a very threatening and dangerous thing.
Mark my words.
It is something we stop or something that will crush us.
Crush our democracy.
Crush our free speech.

Where’s the “conflict” between being gay and being a disabled veteran?
The problem in all of this is not those fat-assed jerks in the puke-vests, hell,

The real problem is we live in a society in which the governing authorities and the

ok,ozark,so if the guy w/the camera provoked these mute, seemingly brainless
Report thissecurity people and started filming for a reaction, why did none of them
mention that when the camera was on? Instead they sat there with dead
expressions, and couldn’t even answer legit questions. They were probably

OWS was nothing but filthy,far-left communist agitators who don’t deserve
the time of day…their superiors have to make sure that their security
personnel are properly conditioned against those they wish to discredit and/or
keep quiet.

“BR—-thank you for fashion critique. Please expand and talk about keys to successful accessorizing and whether or not hot lime vests necessitate plainvarnish rather than eye-catching fingernail color.”
Let’s see ..... what would sociopaths think of to further accessorize their wardrobe in an attempt to increase their “command presence” to intimidate the cattle they think they are somehow there to herd? ...... A pink handled HK? Maybe some black tinted strychnine lip gloss to put them out of their misery so they don’t have to continually remember all those years of getting their ass kicked at home or being sexually molested by their Uncle Louie? I dunno, these people’s brains don’t work like the rest of humanity. There’s a big difference between a respectable and respected public servant, who has chosen a career in law enforcement, and these foreskin-headed sociopaths.

Listen, gerard, this is how it works: Occupiers instigate confrontation with cops/guards/authority. They do this by blocking streets or bank entrances or insulting people or endangering people, and then the Occupiers pull out the cameras and video the response, including arrests or crowd control.
That is the method of Occupy Everywhere. How can anyone who has propelled Occupy say with a straight face that provocations like this shouldnt happen? its the lifeblood of Occupy, it is what got them on the map, and someday there will be an unfortunate evil response, and that will be a huge bonus to Occupy.
To say that its wrong… its a little late now.
Meanwhile, please note that Truthdig, which supports OWS, used their space to put up this video.
I love how OWS gets to have everything both ways.

that he managed to do so and then plays up some faux

This “them versus us” scorn and antagonism (on both sides) is exactly what #OWS is trying to work against in its assemblies and actions. It is the bedrock of nonviolence.
Report thisTo be fully conscious of one’s own behavior, and its effects on others, is not a highly cultivated skill among most Americans who tend to think of “freedom” as “my right to insult anybody anytime anywhere”. When two examples of “macho” collide, trouble is almost endemic unless one side is willing to “tolerate” the other side.
This takes a lot of self-discipline, which is probably not stressed in the training of “security personnel” in general. (wath the facial expressions.) Also, self disciplne is a fragile thing at best, easily destroyed in tense situations.

What freaks me about these cops—evidently some,
most, or all are hired guns—is they portend what
could happen with total privatization in this
country, a subject Fox and the GOP love these days.
Privatize, privatize, privatize, which is code for
taking away anything left that is public. What that
means is that a small aristocracy in this country
will own everything. Hello. That’s a tyranny. That’s
what the American Revolution was waged to separate us
from.
Imagine a totally privatized military (with
Report thisdrones)and a totally privatized police force. That is
as far from democracy as I can imagine. Maybe you
wouldn’t technically call it a “police state”
(because the state wouldn’t own the police). Maybe we
would call it “the monopoly Gestapo” or the
“corporate KGB.”

This ignorant thug homophobe intimidating journalists
at Occupy Wall Street illustrates that the contempt
for the 99% is again quite diverse. They do not like
poor people, college students, the unemployed, the
underemployed, professionals,union members,liberals,
lawyers professors, journalists, straights, gays and
what’s next “get away you commie Jew?”
As I have long stated be careful when the Police
Report thisState comes. They always start looking for someone
else but then they always come around to look for
folks of your ilk as well. First it is people you do
not care about, then its the faggots, the niggers and
then lastly the Jews. It’s coming, don’t say you were
not warned.

I have watched the privatize movement promise, better services and cheaper services, even though it is clear that the only thing cheaper is the wages paid to the worker while the cost to the public goes higher and higher.
We have seen the police be co-opted by the 1% to protect the 1% from what? The righteous wrath of their victims. When have we seen hardly any of the corporate goons get investigated, let alone arrested for their crimes? What they have done are crimes even though the laws have been re-written or ignored by elected officials who have sold their jobs to the highest bidder.
What a disgusting display.

I don’t know why it hasn’t been picked up yet—Zaid Jilani of ThinkProgress didn’t mention it in his article, which Truthout posted—but Karl Rove told a protester at his speech at John’s Hopkins to “Stop acting like a faggot and start acting like an American!”
